30 Cake fillings to tantalise your taste buds.

There is nothing worse than a gorgeous sponge cake with a dry filling. Today I am simply going to share with you 30 cake fillings that will tantalize your taste buds.
 


  1. White chocolate and Raspberry- A delicious combination of white chocolate ganache and fresh raspberry puree.
  2. Vanilla buttercream– A smooth silky combination of butter, icing sugar and vanilla extract.  
  3. Chocolate cream filling-  A gorgeous twist of fresh cream and pure dark chocolate
  4. Oreo cookies– A crunchy butter and  cookie filling.  
  5. Mascarpone filling– A nicely whipped cream and mascarpone combination.
  6. Lemon Curd– A delicious lemon filling with a slight tangy twist.  
  7. Coffee and walnut– For all you coffee fans, you can beat the aroma of this wonder filling .
  8. Passion fruit– This seasonal filling delivers a fresh and fruity centre to a cake.  
  9. Pecan– Pecans for me are the queen of the nuts, make a fantastic addition to a nice toffee cake.
  10. Peanut butter– For those who love a peanut butter and jelly sandwich you’ll appreciate this combination in a cake. The crunch of the peanut blends well with the strawberries from the jam.  
  11. Simple strawberry– A sweet summer combination of fresh strawberries in a strawberry puree.
  12. Biscoff– This modern biscuit has a unique flavour, once tried never forgotten.  
  13. Banana caramel– If you are a fan of a toffee Banoffee pie then this is the filling for you a special blend of banana and toffee.
  14. Turkish Delight– This is definitely my favourite A mix of Rose flavoured buttercream and milk chocolate ganache, simply delicious.  
  15. Apple Cider– A real mixture of tart and sweet, like a tempting stroll through the orchard.
  16. Mojito– Memories of hot sunny days around the pool all wrapped up in this minty cake filling.  
  17. Coconut– For a bite of eastern promise  try mixing coconut and pineapple with whipped cream for a delicious fruity filling.
  18. Baileys– For a perfect accompaniment to a chocolate cake try a baileys chocolate liquer and chocolate cream filling.  
  19. Champagne Strawberry– Add a little fizz to your cake with a champagne and strawberry buttercream. Add some pieces of meringue for a an extra little crunch.
  20. Salted caramel– A touch of sea salt added to your caramel buttercream brings this filling to another level.  
  21. Chocolate Orange– For lovers of a Terrys chocolate orange a chocolate orange buttercream will be top of your list.
  22. Cream cheese– A simple cream cheese filling ia a great alternative to buttercream for people who don’t have a particularly sweet tooth.  
  23. Cherry– Another one of my favourites combining a Murello cherry puree with chocolate and fresh cream for a Black forest gateau filling.
  24. Pistachio cream– This combination of cream, pistachios and icing sugar combines well leaving a salty nutty green filling,  
  25. Cookie dough– Remember those days when you licked out your mums cake bowls, well now you can recreate those special moments with a cookie dough filling, great for filling chocolate cakes.
  26. Gingerbread– Run, run as fast as you can you can’t catch me I’m the gingerbread man. There is nothing like the smell of ginger to tantalize the taste buds.  Mix crushed gingerbread pieces with a gingerbread cream cheese for a spicy treat.  
  27. Mixed Spice– A mixed spice buttercream adds the perfect combination to a basic fruit cake.
  28. Blueberry & Lemon – This is the perfect combination for a light fruity flavour.  
  29. Twix–layering the centre of your cake with Crushed biscuits, caramel and chocolate recreates that twix combination in your cake.
  30. Fresh cream– For a simple delicious filling you really can’t beat a good quality jam topped with Fresh Cream.
